Baltimore Headshot Photography • Steven Baird

This September I had the pleasure of shooting headshots of Steven Baird, an up & coming actor in the Baltimore-Annapolis area of Maryland.   His recent ventures include The Mousetrap at Laurel Mill Playhouse and Spamalot at the Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre - this fall and winter he will also be appearing in Urinetown with The Heritage Players AND The Colonial Players' production of A Christmas Carol!  Wow!  This dude is one to watch!

As always, I like to begin & end my photoshoots with a ridiculous face.  Check the bottom right of this post for my favorite of Steve's magnificent grimaces!

Brad & Doreen's Intimate Wedding

This spring I had the pleasure to photograph the wedding of Brad & Doreen in Columbia, Maryland!  I have known Doreen since my teenager years when I babysat for her two young sons - so it was with a sense of nostalgia (and slight deja-vu!) that I entered her home on a sunny April afternoon to document her nuptials.

Brad & Doreen were colleagues and best friends at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland for 12 years, always supporting and helping each other.  When they became single around the same time, they each realized that, “The person I’ve been waiting for my whole life is right in front of me.”  And the rest was history!

Doreen's two sons participated in the ceremony - Mac as officiant, and Cameron sung a beautiful ode to the couple.  I was so proud to watch those two all grown up and showering their mother with love - I can only imagine how it must have felt for Doreen!  It was a truly lovely ceremony, with the couple exchanging vows in the center of a circle of close friends and family.

Katie : Annapolis Actress Headshot Photography

I loved taking Katie's new headshots this past Wednesday - she was a little nervous because while she's a talented actress, she doesn't like being in front of a camera lense!

My favorite thing to do in this sort of situation is to start a conversation, make the client laugh - and hopefully make her forget that I am shooting pictures the whole time.  :)  Katie's doggy "niece" helped us out as well!  You can always count on a sweet little puppy to set a good mood for a shoot.

PS - Thanks to Katie and her fiancee Brett for the delicious dinner - the perks of shooting right before dusk in a client's backyard! ;)
