This spring I had the pleasure to photograph the wedding of Brad & Doreen in Columbia, Maryland! I have known Doreen since my teenager years when I babysat for her two young sons - so it was with a sense of nostalgia (and slight deja-vu!) that I entered her home on a sunny April afternoon to document her nuptials.
Brad & Doreen were colleagues and best friends at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland for 12 years, always supporting
and helping each other. When they became single around the same time, they
each realized that, “The person I’ve been waiting for my whole life is
right in front of me.” And the rest was history!
Doreen's two sons participated in the ceremony - Mac as officiant, and Cameron sung a beautiful ode to the couple. I was so proud to watch those two all grown up and showering their mother with love - I can only imagine how it must have felt for Doreen! It was a truly lovely ceremony, with the couple exchanging vows in the center of a circle of close friends and family.
